| | Faszinierend als wäre Musik zur Farbe und in Form transponiert wirken die abstraktgehaltenen DIGITAL PAINTINGS von Dieter Grossmann und erobern den Betrachter emotional, so daß man gern im Anblick desBildes mit seinen Gedanken verweilt, Asoziationen mit Erlebtem kognitiv bildet und sich in die Zeitlosigkeit der Meditation versenken lässt. Deshalb gibt der Künstler seinen Inkjet Prints, die er auf Leinwand arbeitet keine Titel, um die Fantasie der Betrachter nich in eine vorgegebene Richtung zu lenken. Die Ästhetig der Werke verbunden mit der Rhythmik des Ausgewogenen sind wiederkehrende Synonyme, die sein OEuvre durchziehen, auch in jenen Arbeiten indenen fraktal bekannte Formensegmente - besonders humanoiede - die Bildaussage andeuten. Dieter Grossmann zeigt in meisterhafte Weise Sureales durch ein" tempus tenuto"- die Zeit nicht dem Takt des Sekundenzeigers unterworfen - sondern zum Aeon gedehnt so befinden sich in einer Sympiose das Präsens mit der Historie vergangener Kulturen veknüpft, aus dem rätselhaft mögliche Future angedeutet werden.

Dieter Grossmann (1926 in Frankfurt/Oder geboren) absolvierte von 1948 bis 1952 ein Studium an der Akademie der Künste Berlin in Malerei und Grafik. er war Schüler der Meisterklasse bei Prof. Tank und bei Prof. Speidel. 1961 stellte er zum ersten Mal in Berlin aus und ab 1968 nimmt er weltweit an Ausstellungen teil; u.a.: "in Town Gallery New York, "Il Giorno" Mailand, Museum Biberach, Salzgitter, München, Washington, Toronto "german cultural institute", Bangkok "german cultural institut" Kansas City USA, FAW Universität Ulm, Frankfurt/main, Stuttgart. 2001 bei der MOCA museum of Computer Art New York, 2002 im Truly Web Museum of Dr. Rodney Chang in Pygoya/Hawai und in der australischen Vzualet Gallery in Perth. Seine erste Auszeichnung - die Silbermedallie für Grafik erhielt er 1966 in Berlin und 1973 die Goldmedallie für Grafik. 1976 die Bronzemedaillie für "Kunst in der Medizin" Köln. 1998 den 1. Preis beim "tetenal creative inkjet award" für Computerpainting. The abstract DIGITAL PAINTING of Dieter Grossmann fascinate as if music were transposed into form and color. The viewer is emotionally impacted, wishing to linger in thought. Associations are formed with things cognitively experienced, leading to immersion in the timelessness of meditation. The artist?s inkjet prints on canvas are untitled, so that the viewer?s fantasy is left free rein. Recurring synonyms which permeate his oeuvre are the combined aesthetic and harmonic rhythm, also in the paintings in which known fractal segments of form ? especially humanoid ? are indicated. Dieter Grossmann masterfully shows the surreal through a "tempus tenuto": Time is not subjugated to the stroke of a second-hand, but rather extended to an eon. A symbiosis connects the present with the history of past cultures, from which, mysteriously, possible futures are hinted at.
Dieter Grossmann, born l926 in Frankfurt/Oder, completed his studies in painting and graphics (l948 ? l952) at the Academy of the Arts in Berlin. He was a student in the master classes of Professors Tank and Speidel. He first exhibited in l96l in Berlin. Since l968 he has participated in many exhibitions, among others in Galerie "il Giorno", Milan, the Biberach Museum, Salzgitter, Munich, New York, the "Town Gallery", Washington, Toronto, Kansas City, Ulm, Frankfurt and Stuttgart. In 2001he exhibited at the MOCA Museum of Computer Art, New York, in 2002 at the Truly Virtual Web Museum of Dr. Rodney Chang, Pygoya, Hawaii, and at the Australian Vzualet Gallery in Perth.
