RAGNHILD LUNDEN
Pictures From an Abstract World of Forms Inspired by Infux from the Orient, Inspired by Art History into Daily Life.

Matisse has always been a well of inspiration for Ragnhild Lundén.

A few years ago Ragnhild Lundén was visiting the Betel Quóran in Bahrein.

She was awtstruck by the similarities of the French painter Henri Matisse´s forms during his last years in  life, the " clippings" and the beautiful illuminations form the Quóran forund in the Bethel Quóran in Bahrein.

She decided to explore this amazing combination of Arabian calligaphy and her own world of pictures. This resulted in a series of paintings which has awoken a great interest.

Ragnhild Lunde´ns pictures  have since  been on show in Dubai, where several paintings have found their home in the collections of dignitaries from the Orient, among them the Sheik Sabedh of Kuweit U.A.E. and the Sheik Majed of Dubai U.A.E.

In Sweden they have been showed by the Gothenburg Art Association in a solo exhibition.About 30 major paintings are currently on show at the Jordan National Musem of Art under the patronage of H.R.H Princess Majda RAA `D The Royal Jordan Society of Fine Arts.

The opening was a sucess.´Jordan Times´covered it with a full page by Ica Wabeh on the culture page as well as an intro on the first page. The Swedish ´Svenska Dagbladet´ also immediately published an article  by Erika Treijis. The major painting "My Universe" 2x2m prize10 000 U.S. Dollars was immediately sold. This exhibition also Featured works by 8 Jordanian artists and 3 additional  artists from Sweden.

Raghild Lundén will cotinue to explore  the Influx beween East and West in her always ongoing work with "Signs of the World" because she believs human similarities are more important in human life than differences.

Ragnhild Lunden hopes that this kind of insight is good for Peace in our World.

If yo find the important foms in your own life you will have easier to undestand others. We are very much alike, Ragnhild Lundén states.
